Oh what a day

My agent for the interpreting job called very early asking me if I'm available for the day. Who would say no to earning money these days. I mean I usually just stay at the court for an hour or an hour and a half and I get 75 bucks. So I called Sheila if she can take vaness for two hours.  And she did. It was the longest hearing I have interpreted to date. I think I went down at 9:30 and got out of there at 11:50.  We then went home for Vanessa's nap time. 

I took her with me to the filipino market when she woke up to get some ingredients for the food that I will cook on Arthurs bday this coming Saturday. Been a long day.Tired of driving all over town.

sunny sunday

Sleeping seemed to be elusive last night probably because Vaness woke up 15 minutes after I fell off to sleep. Just too hard for me to go back to sleep when that kind of situation happens. I'm glad Kaye called and said that we might have to wait for Jane to come back from her BF's doctors appointment. They will come around noon. I went back to sleep and finally woke up at 9:30am. Vaness woke up an hour later. We then went to the beach with my bike and Jane's rollerblades. What  a nice day out. We were gonna stay longer but Vaness started getting whiny.  

When we got home I'm so glad hubby cleaned up the kitchen and made some fruit salad for us. I cooked rice and Jane cooked some dried squid and fish. We also made some bibingka. It was a great lunch. We all ended up feeling sleepy after a heavy meal. But then Jane brought some filipino movie's to watch. It was a funny movie called "one night only". We sure had a great laugh. They went home late, also my little one is in for a much needed nap.

fun weekend

 It sure was fun going to Temecula for the weekend.We stayed at a hotel in Lake Elsinore because we also wanted to see whats out there.We ended up exploring the lake and watching some mexican catch big carp from the lake. We headed to Temecula at 4pm yesterday , the opening of the festival was at 5pm. We arrived  a little bit late because we miscalculated our travel time. At least we were able to get there in time for the Chuck Wicks performance. He is one of the celebrity contestants of Dancing with the stars. After all the walking and dancing we watched the Annual balloon glow.This is where they put up 4 hot air balloons and just let it glow through the darkness. It was fun. Our little girl wasn't so happy about it though, she got scared of the balloon going down on her.Imagine the size of that balloon to a little girl like her.Must be enormous!

Today we just let Vaness spend a little bit of time at the pool and decided to drive back for Natalie's birthday party. It was fun to see some friends and just take pictures and talk the afternoon away. I'm glad we came..

great time

So many plans for the day, too little time. I have to go to the market to grab some produce and Hubby's coffee creamer. Also took Vaness to the park because she keeps saying mommy "slide, slide". Also  went to the gym for my exercise.After losing the weight that I wanted gone out of my system, I am now just maintaining it and trying to live a healthy lifestyle. Besides Joel pays a lot for my gym membership might as well make the most out of it. I usually take the Monday and Friday Abs, buns and thigh class, Tuesdays I take the kick and lift class and Wednesday's class is called Total Body blast.I enjoy all of them because the instructors are nice and up dated with the latest technique. I feel lucky to be given the opportunity to do a lot of the things I get to do in life. I am so thankful for my husband who has always been a good provider for me.

Better get going, I have to prepare some of the stuff we need to bring for our out of town tomorrow.We plan to go to Temecula for the Annual Balloon and Wine tasting festival. We enjoy being there every year. It has become one of our June tradition. I hope the weather is nice so that it wont ruin the balloon glow at night.

been a long time

Cant believe it has been more than a year since the last time I checked this blog.I must have made so many blogs over the years , I can't seem to remember most of my username and password. I try to not be lazy about this thing called blogging but I always end up thinking tomorrow..tomorrow..I'll write something. And end up writing nothing.  I hope I will have a time and exert more effort to update this blog which was once a haven for me to write my thoughts.

fun to exercise

I felt more motivated to exercise.I like the classes that I take and I enjoy losing weight. I know I have to wake up early for my Thursday and Friday class but I still manage to get up and hit the gym.Now I know what Joel is talking about, he used to tell me that once I get to start and see some result I will have more drive to do it.I'm so glad I'm doing it.My instructors varies probably because they all work on different muscle of the body.Now the only thing I regret is not having a before and after picture.I know its still a long way but I cant stop now.

lunch date

Joel used to tell me that..."girls go out for lunch". So i guess it is his way of saying Vaness and I should go out and have fun.Today we went out to pick Lenden up at her house because we planned to go to TJmaxx.She wanted to get a new purse. I'm glad Vaness likes her and does not fuss like when she's around people.We told her Ate Lenden has a baby in the tummy. First we went to Sushi of Naples to grab a big lunch. It was a good lunch with salad, 8 sushi, rice, chicken teriyaki and miso soup.I think I ate too much.

We must have spent 2 hours at Tjmaxx looking for a nice purse for Lenden but was not able to buy because the style that she liked does not have any other color option. I felt bad for her..she really liked it.Oh well maybe next week we'll check out their store at south street.

By the way something funny happened tonight..My little americana ate plenty of squid and rice.her face was so dirty from the squid ink..I forgot to take a picture.

busy mom

My week sure started very busy. I have to make appointments for Joel with his Cardiologist, call the termite guy and get our Noah's ark ticket online. After all the phone calls I cleaned the house a little bit and left to the filipino market. Christine and Angel are gonna drop by at the house in the afternoon so I decided to get some food from Goldilocks. We had a great lunch. I asked Christine to stay because Shiela ( a new friend I met through friendster) is dropping by with her 2 kids. They are on their way to the Belmont pool which few blocks from my house. I thought she is very nice and thoughtful. She also has very good looking boys. I then went to the gym for my A. B. T. ( abs, buns and thighs) class which took 45 minutes. Oh boy I just took a shower and I'm ready to sleep. been a long day.

sleepy head

I'm glad my little one has been sleeping for a while now.she must have been tired from all the errands we both did today.opps.. She has been quite maintaining her routine for a few months now..sleep for 2 hours which gives me chance to clean up or fold some laundry without disturbance.She is 20 months now and she wants to help in anything that I do. Put clothes in the dryer, cook, put things away and most specially close and open doors. Time sure flies very fast.
